Being the capital city of India, Delhi has very good infrastructure. This includes proper provision for transportation. The various parts of Delhi have been connected through well – maintained rods. The city has also been linked to neighboring states and cities through 5 national highways. These are –

The inter–city roads connect different parts of Delhi to international airport. The roads are also well linked to 3 major railway stations – Hazrat Nizamuddin, Old Delhi railway station and New Delhi railway station.
With common wealth games approaching, thousands of radio cabs will be put into service. The drivers are also being trained so that they can speak in English to ensure smooth conversation with foreigners.

Venues for Common Wealth Games
- Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium – Common wealth games 2010 will be inaugurated here. It has total seating capacity of 1,30,000 spectators and is the fifth largest stadium in the world. It is situated near C.G.O. Complex in the Lodhi Road area.
- Dhyan Chand National Stadium – This tournament has been named after Olympic gold medal winning Indian hockey player Dhyan Chand. It will host the hockey tournaments. It is located near India gate in Patiala house.
- Indira Gandhi Arena - This will serve as the venue for wrestling. This sports arena has a 25,000 seating capacity. It is located at IP estate, New Delhi.
- Delhi University Sports Complex - The Rugby sevens tournament will be held here. It is situated in the Viceregal Lodge Estate in Delhi. It has seating capacity of 10,132 people.
- Thyagaraj Stadium - It will be the venue for the Netball events. It is located in INA colony, New Delhi. It has seating capacity of 4,494 people.
- Siri Fort Sports Complex - The Squash and Badminton events will take place at this stadium. t is located near the historic Siri fort (now in ruins) built by Sultan Alauddin Khalji in 1303 A.D.It has seating capacity of 4,748 people.
- Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range - It will host the shooting events of the Commonwealth Games 2010. It is located on South Delhi ridges near the historic Tughlakabad Fort (to its North) and Suraj Kund Lake (to its South West).
- Talkatora Stadium - It will be the venue for the boxing events. It has above 3000 seating capacity. It is located near Rama Krishna Ashram Marg metro station in Patel chowk.
- SPM Swimming Pool Complex - It will be used for the aquatic events. The complex is located on the ridge forest area of Central Delhi. It has seating capacity of 5,178 people.
- RK Khanna Tennis Complex - This will be used for the tennis events. It is situated in the lush environment of the Deer Park in the Safdarjung Enclave area of South Delhi. It has seating capacity of 5,015 people.
- Yamuna Sports Complex - It will serve as the venue for the table tennis and preliminary archery events. It has above 4000 seating capacity for tennis events. 1,500 people can be seated here for the archery preliminaries. It is located in East Delhi.
